General Festival guidelines

SHOW GUIDELINES

 - Artist, will prepare a musical show with a running time between 30 and 38 minutes.  

-Show must have live accompaniment (no recorded tracks). 

-Artist is responsible for providing your own accompanist. Seattle Cabaret Festival is happy to provide a list of referrals. 

-Show must be a musical performance with patter or storytelling recommended no more then 8 minutes or less for your 30 to 38-minute show. 

-Your show must be memorized. Please, no music stands or cheat sheets onstage for featured vocalists. 

-Accompanying musicians may use music. 

FESTIVAL FORMAT

-Each SCF artist/act will perform their 30-38 minute show twice during the festival run.

-Each SCF artist/act will be assigned two showtimes, usually on two different dates. Assigned showtimes and dates are at SCF discretion but will accommodate whatever conflicts/availability you specified in your submission form.  

-Each SCF showtime will present shows by two different SCF artist/acts and will be hosted by an SCF host. Artist/act pairings are at discretion of SCF, based on artistic and technical considerations.  

-Compensation: Artists will receive 90% of shared ticket sales per show.

PUBLICITY

 -SCF producers will promote all SCF show dates via poster and postcard distribution, SCF mailing list, press releases to local media, and social media. 

-SCF producers will mail physical postcards to up to 50 contacts provided by each SCF artist.

-SCF artists are expected to promote your own show dates (mailing lists, social media, etc.)

-We recommend you do not schedule other solo shows within 4 weeks of your SCF festival dates.
